The department is a base for postgraduate training in medical pedagogy.
The research activities of the collaborators are in the field of university pedagogy, psychology and methodology, health education, applied psychology, andragogy, etc. 

The department carries out educational, research, advisory and methodical activities on pedagogical, psychological and methodical problems in the field of medicine, health care, health and medical education. 
The academic staff is oriented towards the emerging pan-European space and the new economic realities that are being faced by higher medical schools and the opportunity to guarantee the professional training of specialists capable of thinking globally, in accordance with the specific conditions.

The new challenges we are facing require a complex approach to the training of a new generation of health professionals.

The quality of training of health personnel today requires highly effective training of students, teachers and research personnel. Teachers analyze and continuously update curricula, programs and content, develop and introduce new interactive methods of preparation. The reform of medical education, as a key element of the entire health care reform, aims at the formation of health professionals capable of meeting the challenges of the 21st century.
