Prof. Dr. Karolina Lubomirova was born on 13.07.1974 in the town of Shumen.

1988 – 1991 – English language high school – Shumen city;
1991 – 1998 – completed higher education in Medicine, Master of Medicine at Medical University – Sofia, Faculty of Medicine

1999- 2001 – PhD student in toxicology at the National Center for Hygiene, Medical Ecology and Nutrition
2002- 2007 – Research associate at the National Institute of Health and Medical Sciences with participation in the development of research projects, standard-setting and expert activities
2007-2013- associate professor in the Faculty of Public Health, Sofia University

Since 2009 is a teacher in the first in the history of higher medical education in Bulgaria Department of "Occupational Medicine", he teaches students, specialists - doctors and doctoral students in occupational medicine and toxicology at FOZ, Medical University - Sofia.
- Training of students - bachelors, masters and graduates in the specialty "Occupational medicine", "Occupational medicine and work ability" - in the thematic areas of health, safety, work ability, prevention of professional and work-related and workplace disabilities, promotion of health at work , epidemiology of socially significant diseases and health risk assessment, health analyzes and projections for workforce reproduction, evidence-based medicine, toxicology. A modern vision of occupational medicine and the European dimensions of state and company policy for health and safety at work - foundations and challenges.
– Training of medical and non-medical staff and experts from occupational medicine services - from TELK, from regional health inspectorates, from labor inspectorates and divisions of NIIs from all over the country on the problems of research, analysis and assessment of occupational health, industrial safety, sustainable work ability, occupational health management, health consequences of work accidents and occupational diseases - algorithm and insurance, toxicology.
