The Department of Health Technology Assessment has as its mission the promotion and dissemination of HTA as a multidisciplinary approach in healthcare, creating a basis for making informed, evidence-based decisions.

The main goal of the department is, through the creation, consolidation and development of an educational, teaching and scientific-practical base, to familiarize specialists from various medical and non-medical fields with the basics of OHT, their application in healthcare and their role in effective management and the development of an effective health policy.

1. Development of curricula for HTA training in bachelor's, master's and doctoral programs

2. Carrying out research activities for the analysis and development of HTA models tailored to Bulgarian conditions

3. Building international partnerships and participating in HTA development projects, including joining the REDCap platform for electronic data collection
