Art.1.  Admission of students to the Medical University - Sofia is based on the Regulation on the State Requirements for Admission of Students in the Ministry of Education and Science and the existing rules.

Note:  MU-Sofia will change with all changes produced by all other acts that entered into force after the publication of this guide. .

Art.2.  Training for all specialties at the Medical University - Sofia is in full-time form, for special selection "Public Health and Health Management", "Strategic Management of Pharmaceutical Activities", "Health Care Management", "Clinical Trial Management", "Occupational Medicine and Work Ability" and "Medical Cosmetics" at the Faculty of Public Health and in part-time form.

Art.3. The number of places for accepting students under state orders and application and tuition fees are used annually with Standing Orders of the Council of Ministers.

Art.4.  The Faculty of Medicine at the Medical University - Sofia trains students in the specialty "Medicine" - for access to the educational-quality degree "Master".

Art.5.  At the Faculty of Dental Medicine at the Medical University - Sofia, he is studying in the specialties "Dental Medicine" for the study of the educational and qualification degree "Master".

Article 6 . At the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Medical University - Sofia, he studies in the specialty "Pharmacy" for the educational and qualification degree "Master".

Art.7.  The Faculty of Public Health at the Medical University of Sofia offers the following courses:

Art. 10.  Medical University - Sofia accepts students for paid training for core members. 21, para. 2 of the Higher Education Act in the educational and qualification degree "bachelor" and educational and qualification degree "master" follow secondary education in specialties from professional fields and from the regulation of professions in accordance with the capacity of the respective specialty and with a comparison between the students and the Medical University - Sofia.

Art. 11.  The number of places for admission of students for paid studies and application and tuition fees is determined by the Academic Council of the Medical University - Sofia.

Art. 12 . Prospective students can also apply for admission to other higher education institutions and colleges, and they can check the announcements from these competitive examination check schedules.

I I . CONDITIONS FOR APPLICATION:

Art.13.  Individuals who can apply for study at the Medical University - Sofia are:

13.1. Bulgarian citizens who have completed secondary education, given the right to support their studies in higher education institutions, who are assessed in biology and chemistry in the diploma for special medicine, dentistry and pharmacy. 

For special opportunities at the Medical College "Y. Filaretova "must be assessed in biology and Bulgarian language in a diploma for completed secondary education;  

– for the specialty "Rehabilitator" – with a grade or "pass" in physical education in the secondary education diploma;

– for the specialty "Masseuse", with protected vision, certified by a Decision of the TELC for persons with permanent disabilities and reduced working capacity.

    13.2. Foreigners permanently residing abroad;

    13.3. Persons with dual citizenship, only one of which is Bulgarian;

    13.4. Citizens of the Union and the European Economic Area /as amended and adopted for the admission of Bulgarian citizens/;

     13.5. Don't always wait until the beginning of the school year;

     13.6. Entitled under article. 68, para. 3 of the Higher Education Act and Article 33 of these Regulations and Appendix No. 1;

      13.7. Lost student rights for more than 5 years from the date of their probation.  

      13.8. Laureates of national and international biology and chemistry olympiads (with a grade of Excellent 6.00).

   III . APPLICATION DOCUMENTS:

Art. 14.  Within the period specified in Appendix No. 2, the student candidate shall present in person or to other persons (who shall carry a copy of the student candidate's identity document, who shall be familiar with the latest study of the matter), the following documents:

14.1. Application form / Appendix No. 5 / and competition card  (middle list of this guide),  as follows:

– Appendix No. 6- for  special options "Medicine", "Dental Medicine" and "Pharmacy";

–  Appendix No. 7 – for special opportunities at Yordanka Filaretova Medical College – Sofia.

14.2. High school diploma  original  (which is returned to a candidate – a student who follows the study of documents) and  one copy uncertified photocopy  from the diploma.

Note: Tie the middle  education in foreign schools, presented in Bulgarian and legalized according to the definition of regular diplomas and a Certificate from the regional education department for recognized completed secondary education with grades equivalent to the grades under Article 9, para. 1 of Regulation No. 11 / 01.09.2016 for assessing student learning outcomes.

14.3. For candidates - students who have passed national or international Olympiads - Certificate from the Ministry of Education and Science for Laureate of a national or international Olympiad in biology and/or chemistry (with a grade of Excellent 6).

14.4. For prospective students by members. 68, para. 3 of the Higher Education Act:

14.4.1 For a complete orphan or half-orphan –  death certificate and certification of heirs  –originals,   which are returned to the candidate - student must follow the documents and  uncertified photocopies of them .

14.4.2 For persons with permanent functions and reduced working capacity 70% and above 70% in accordance with the requirements of Appendix No. 1-  original  for expert solution on TELK  /  with a stamp for the entry into force of the decision  / ,  which is returned to the candidate-student of the candidate consequence of documents and  uncertified photocopy of the decision .

14.4.3 For mothers with many children - birth certificates of children -  original,   which are returned to the student candidate , which follow on documents.

14.4.4 For those closest to you – you must have everything from the ID cards of the prospective students.

14.5. Note students wishing to support student rights at the Medical University - Sofia, with the same specialty - Dean's Office Comparison Review.

14.6. Fiscal receipt of the paid fee for participation in the student candidate competition.

The fee is paid upon submission of documents!

Fees paid for the student candidate exam will not be refunded!

Note:  I am exempt from the fee ( after submitting the necessary documents  ): crossed orphans, persons with permanent cases are used and reduced working capacity, persons who are seen to cope situated in the home to look after children, left from parental care, and half-orphans pay

50% of the fee.

Art.15. The student application documents are submitted as follows:

          from 8.30 to 12.00 and from 1:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m.

– for regular exams-  within the period specified in Appendix No. 2 at the National Center for Public Health and Analysis, Blvd. "Acad. Iv. Geshov ”№15, 12th floor, rooms №12 and №16.

Every working day - from 8.30 am to 12.00 pm. and from 1:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m.

On Saturday – from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

On Sundays, no one works at the reception of documents!

ATTENTION!

Prospective students who have taken the preliminary exam in biology and/or chemistry are also eligible to take the regular prospective student exams in July 2019.

 TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CLASSIFICATION, IT IS MANDATORY TO SUBMIT DOCUMENTS / COMPETITION CARD AND DIPLOMA OF COMPLETED SECONDARY EDUCATION  / in the specified term in Appendix No. 2 of the Directory.

Candidate students, positively recommended in advance of the competitive competitions, try out, but have not submitted documents for review in Appendix No. 2 deadline, do not participate in the classification.

Attention: Documents sent by post will not be accepted, no matter what, unless they are filled out accurately and according to the form in Annexes No. 5, 6 or 7!

The following deadlines, set out in Appendix No. 2, are not accepted documents and no corrections and changes are made to them.

           IV .  COMPETITIVE EXAMINATIONS

Art.16. Apply for the requirement for the educational and qualification stage "Master" for special purposes "Medicine", "Dental Medicine" and "Pharmacy" at the Medical University - Sofia take written examinations in biology and chemistry  (in a special and/or regular candidate student examination session).

          Art.16.1.  The undergraduate biology exam is written and is examined over four hours. This includes the written work of  four thematic units : one of the best for 8th grade, two of them for 9th grade and one assignment for 10th grade, which can be used for teaching materials studied in high school and are presented in a text identical to that specified in the syllabus.

On the test, you will draw four thematic units by lottery, use one thematic unit from each part of them for grade 8; for 9th grade  – I  – va  part; for 9th grade  – II  – ra  part   and for 10th grade.

          The final exam question is taken out immediately before the start of the four thematic units tested, which are involved in one thing.

          Art.16.2.  The undergraduate chemistry test is written and is examined over four hours. This comprehensive material, researched in high schools and reflected in the Candidate Student Program. Experience what you can use for:

LOGIC PROBLEMS : give yourself four thematic logic problems, drawn by lottery, from which material from general and inorganic chemistry is found, and from two people - corresponding material from organic chemistry. Answers must be used and justified and used with the same chemical formulas and reactions.

          During the test is divided on  The periodic table  of chemical elements,  The dissolution table  of the compounds and  Electroaffinity series  of the elements and have ions.

          The tables are provided by the Medical University-Sofia.

          Information on electronic calculators is not permitted, and you must ensure that you cannot access solutions or limit your capabilities to simple arithmetic operations.

          The final assessment of the exam results is formed with a test of 25% for each of the logical tasks.

          Art.17. Apply for special facts in the Faculty of Public Health take competitive exams listed in the Faculty of Public Health Handbook.

          Art. 18.  Applicants for the specialty at the "Prof. Dr. Ivan Mitev" Branch - Vratsa take competitive exams specified in the Directory of the "Prof. Dr. Ivan Mitev" Branch - Vratsa.

          Art.19. Apply for the educational qualification requirement "Professional Bachelor of..." in the specialty at the "Y. Filaretova" Medical College - Sofia using a written question "Motivation for attention to health care for those in need", using three components (elements):

          – general culture for a healthy use program;

          – desire and ability to work with people;

          – psychosocial security.   

          19.1.  For the specialty "Masseur" (person with protected vision) - I am taking an oral exam - an interview on the same topic.

          19.2.  For the specialty "Dental Technician", they take and test according to the models for the date in Appendix No. 3. The exam is checked only at the "Y. Filaretova" Medical College - Sofia. During an exam on models, student candidates are not permitted to provide complete diagrams of teeth, compasses, transport, lines, and other aids made of model knives. What follows are the adventures of the student candidates, who are presented to the Technical Committee of the competition model of a tooth and a small envelope with their personal data, which is sealed from the others. After completing the model exam adventure, a student candidate must obtain a kistory in the exam hall bay and wait for it to be sealed. Explore the hall with a seat by the Chairman and gather at the Technical Committee, which is offered fictitious rooms.

          Art.20 . Mandatory suggestions when checking the candidate student exams.

          On the day of the written examination, the student candidate served:

20.1. Bring an identity document (ID card) and print it out for admission to the exam.

20.2. Let's take power in the hall between 8:00 and 8:30.

20.3. Leave your personal luggage in the designated areas in the hall / incl.  mobile phones, tablets, etc. ./, any textbooks, materials, aids or other items that may compromise his/her exam.

          20.4 . To answer only with a pen, write in blue ink  ! 

20.5. Number each page of the half-complete sets with Arabic numerals.

20.6. Write in rectangle "A" on the first page: "Exam in Biology, respectively Chemistry" and the date of the exam.

20.7. Follow the announcement for a topic, student candidate:

20.7.1. Transcribes verbatim, without abbreviations  The First Question Topic   , ZD  biology  From the sheet provided to him in the designated rectangle "B" for THIS;

20.7.2. In case of lack of space, copy on page 2, but in no case an evaluation for reasons (Appendix No. 4);

20.7.3. Write freely, without abbreviation, only the content of  the task  by  chemistry  from presenting the list of tasks, in the definitions for this right rectangle "B", but in no case can it be evaluated and motivated

(Appendix No. 4); 

20.7.4. Start suggesting topics and assigning from page 2 of the set.

Note:  Apply with employees to write legibly and with normal spacing between them.

Directly about what should be used to violate the anonymity of the work.

20.7.5. Use square brackets “[]” to leave out errors, incorrect cities, or text without striking out.

20.7.6. Write down any omitted texts, diagrams, or figures in the course of the presentation, without registering them additionally with numbers, arrows, or other signs.

20.7.7. During a chemistry exam, it is divided only into the Periodic Table of Chemical Elements and tables for dissolving compounds and the electroaffinity series of elements and people,  which are presented by the committees in the defense!

20.8. Follow the adventure of working on the topics and set, the student candidate has served:

• To personally submit your written work to the Chief Quaestor in the hall;
• To personally place a printout for admission to the relevant exam in the small envelope and leave it in front of your chief curator;
• To personally place all received sets of sheets (plus the possibility of execution), you must put a small envelope in a large plate and go to the chief quaestor;
• To sign in the appropriate place in the test protocol;
• Get your ID back.

          Art.21 . Written works are anonymous!

          21.1. In the event of proof, review or attempted copying, as well as when using external use of the anonymity of the written work of a sign, entry number, use on mobile phones and other technical means,  written work is used cancel.

          21.2. Candidate students with canceled written works are not allowed to participate in the ranking!

1. V . CHECK AND EVALUATION OF  COMPETITION WORKS

Art. 22 . The criteria for evaluating written papers in biology and chemistry are announced on the day of the exam (at 15 Acad. Iv. Geshov Blvd.) and on the website of the Medical University - Sofia / www.mu-sofia.bg /.

22.1. Written competitions are conducted by two examiners from the examination committee, appointed by order of the rector, independently of each other. Always check the marks on any questions related to accuracy to 0.25 and grade the mark by meeting the arithmetic score from the individual questions.

22.2. The grade estimate is better as the arithmetic mean score for two checkers if the difference in the score is not greater than 0.50.

22.3. For work greater than 0.50, it is checked and evaluated by an arbitrator appointed by Order of the Rector.

22.4. Arbitrate is performed and all works with a score equal to or greater than "excellent 5.50".

22.5. Next, when evaluating each written assignment, check that there is only a final grade, which must be motivated and signed.

Assessment of individual questions and tasks is not offered!

Art. 23 . Follow the discussion of the best competitions from the candidates for candidate students who have the right to personally identify their written works in separate tasks from the Academic Department of MU-Sofia day.

Explanations for the additional marks or grades in English assigned by individual examiners are NOT provided. t .

Art.24 . Results from written work are not subject to review and assessment.

Art.25. Checking and evaluating the competition works  modeling.

25.1. Competition works on Models are examined by an examination committee appointed by order of the Rector at the Medical University - Sofia, in which a bay is located for this purpose. Competition works cannot be presented from the halls.

25.2. The Commission publishes and publishes criteria for evaluating the competition projects by models to follow the adventures of the exam.

          25.3. Work on Modeling by reviewing two three-member committees, independently of each other.

          25.4. Competition works in Models are evaluated with an accuracy of 0.25 and are reflected in the protocol of each committee.

        25.5. If the difference, as assessed by the Modeling committees, is less than or equal to 0.50, the final score is the arithmetic mean of the scores and is presented at the end of the report.

25.6. If greater than 0.50, the competition work on Models is checked and evaluated by an arbitration committee appointed by the Rector's Note, whose evaluation is final.

25.7. The following results from "Modeling" have been announced for  one day , in which a student candidate has the right to identify personally developed models.

Art.26. Laureates of national and international Olympiads are recognized with a grade of Excellent 6.00 in terms of testing (biology, chemistry or both) upon presentation of certification from the Ministry of Education and Science.

Art.27. Published results from competitions are final and valid only for the year in which the exams can be held.

V I . SCORING AND RANKING

Art. 28.  A competitive score for ranking in special medicines, dentistry and pharmacy for the assessment of the educational and qualification stage "master" is created from cumulative scores in:

– biology and chemistry from all matriculation exams / in the absence of grades from passed spectacular exams in biology and chemistry, they are assessed from a secondary education diploma /;

          – evaluating the results of competitions, studying biology and chemistry.

The maximum score is 36, and the minimum for participation in the classification is 24.

CANDIDATES-STUDENTS WHO HAVE GRADES IN BIOLOGY AND/OR CHEMISTRY FROM THE PRELIMINARY AND REGULAR EXAMS PARTICIPATE IN THE RANKING WITH THE HIGHER GRADE!

Art. 29 . Form a ball for the Medical College "Y. Filaretova ".

Art.29 . 1  The score for classification by special abilities at the "Y. Filaretova" Medical College - Sofia for testing the educational and qualification degree "professional bachelor in..." is created from cumulative scores on:

          – grade from a Bulgarian language exam / in the absence of a grade from a passed Bulgarian language exam, the grade is assessed in Bulgarian by the diploma /.

          – grade from a high school diploma exam in biology and health education / in the absence of a grade from a passed high school diploma exam in biology, a grade in biology from the diploma is assessed /.

          – to evaluate the evaluation of the letter with a written private "Motivation to maintain healthy care for those in need."

Maximum score for participation in the classification –  24 .

Art.29.2  For the specialty "Dental Technician"  from the sum of the assessment of:

• the grade from the Bulgarian language matriculation exam;

– grade from the Matriculation Examination in Biology

/ In the absence of grades from passed matriculation exams in Bulgarian language and biology, check the grades in these subjects from the diploma of completed secondary education /;

–  assessment of the effectiveness of the trial with a written private "Motivation to maintain health care for those in need";

• a comparison score from the model checking competition.

Maximum score for participation in the classification –  36.

          Art.30. The education of the ball competition and the classification by specialties in the Faculty of Public Health for the requirement for the educational and qualification degree "bachelor" and "master" are specified in the Handbook of the Faculty of Public Health

 Art. . 31.  Processing of ball competition and classification by specialties at the Branch "Prof. Dr. Iv. Mitev "- Vratsa are listed in the Branch Directory.

Art. 32. Medical University Ranking – Sofia :

Art.32.1. The classification for special medicines, Dentistry and Pharmacy are ranked by categories (men and women) according to the desired specialty indicated in the competition card (Appendix No. 6) and by the lowest score.

32.1.1. To give a specialty classified at the lowest level only persons, indicate that specialty at the current location.

32.1.2. No applications are submitted for participation in the following classifications!

32.1.3.  In the second and final classification, the principle of priority of the individual desired major is maintained.

32.1.4.  In the event of a shortage of candidate students with a score above 24.00 for the correspondence of category and specialty, the classification is used for the second desired specialty according to the competition score.

32.1.5.  The ratio between the “women” category and the “men” category is 1:1 for specialty drugs, dentistry, and pharmacy.

Note : According to the solution of the Academic Council of 12.02.2008. for the specialty "Pharmacy" - vacant places from the category "men", following the completion of the desire, enroll from the category "women", they indicated as the beginning the specialty "Pharmacy" according to the editorial board.

Art. 32.2. Classification for special opportunities at the Medical College "Y. Filaretova “- Sofia needs a special wish, indicated in the competition card. (Appendix No. 7) and by the best score. In the event of a shortage of candidate students for a corresponding specialty, classification is used according to the second, respectively. third and group desired major in the order of the prom.

In the second and final classification, the principle of priority of the individual desired major is maintained.

          Art.32.3.  The classification for the specialty in the Faculty of Public Health can be found in the Faculty of Public Health directory.

Art.32.4.  Classification of a candidate student at the "Prof. Dr. Ivan Mitev" Branch - Return to the Branch directory.

Art.33.  In accordance with Article 68, paragraph 3 of the Higher Education Act, for all specialties at the Medical University - Sofia, under discussed conditions, student candidates from these groups are accepted:

33.1.  Persons with permanent applications and reduced working capacity with 70% and above 70% in accordance with the requirements of Appendix No. 1;

33.2.  War disabled and war injured;

33.3.  Round orphans;

33.4.  Mothers with three or more children.

33.5.  Twins who are candidates at the same time in the same specialty and one of them was accepted on a general basis based on a score, and the other has successfully passed competitions and a minimum score of 24.00.

Art.34.  The quota for accepting student candidates under Article 32 is determined by a Decision of the Council of Ministers.

Art.35.  Apply under Article 33 for special drugs, Dental Medicine and Pharmacy participate in the classification, only if you need a minimum score of 24.00 and compete with each other for the places, you must be from the Academic Council of the Medical University - Sofia.

For all other specialties, candidates must have successfully passed exams.

Art.36 . Student candidates participating in the competition for student rights support are classified by state procurement if they successfully pass the competitive exams.

Art.37.  Accept all student candidates, classify with a single score in the last planned place for correspondence specialty!

          Art.38.  Results of competitions test and classify for special drugs, Dental Medicine and Pharmacy have been announced at the National Center for Public Health and Analysis, Blvd. "Acad. Iv.Geshov "

VIII . ADDITIONAL PROVISIONS

• 1. If you have a diploma of a Bulgarian citizen, there is no assessment that was made in the competition of the ball, candidates for testing in this subject in the secondary school, determined by the Ministry of Education. If you have received a high school diploma, you can write two subject grading scores, one of which is from a performance test and the other from the course of study,  The final grade is determined by the exam grade. .

The grades from the ZIP and the EPA are not grade-based.

• 2. In order to establish bad faith or not to use it to establish a procedure for evaluating written works, processing candidates for student documents, classification and enrollment of students, the members of the relevant committee are subject to disciplinary action. If this is the best, it is verified by the prosecutor's office.
• 3. Candidates, submit the document with continuous content, make an attempt to add detailed information when filling out competition documents or to mislead acceptable committees or managements to participate in educational educational institutions, to engage in participation in the competition and to make sure that they must participate in the search for specific information. If the information in the submitted documents is not certain, the student's study must be established, regardless of the course of study recommended by MU-Sofia, and it is assured that the search is necessary for a specific responsibility.
