Students from Foz Received Prestigious National Award
Students Antoaneta Stoyneva and Slavcho Petrunov from the Faculty of Public Health "Prof. Dr. Ts. Vodenicharov, MD" at the Medical University-Sofia were awarded a second prize, presented by the President of the Federation of Scientific and Technical Unions in Bulgaria (FSTU), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eng. Kremena Dedelyanova.
The prestigious award was given for their reports “#ONCOTLAST” and “THE IMPACT OF GMO ON THE AMERICAN NATION”, presented at the XXI National Scientific and Practical Conference of the Bulgarian National Science and Technology Research Council. Dozens of young researchers from all over Bulgaria presented interesting scientific projects and reports during the forum.
The awarded students are studying in the specialty "Physician Assistant", OCS "bachelor". They presented their research with a unifying title "New research on overweight and oncological diseases".
Antoaneta Stoyneva presented a report “THE IMPACT OF GMO ON THE AMERICAN NATION”, and Slavcho Petrunov – “#ONUTCOTFAT”. The scientific supervisor is Assoc. Prof. Dr. Roxandra Pamukova-Michaelson from the Faculty of Public Health “Prof. Dr. Ts. Vodenicharov, MD”.
The Federation of Scientific and Technical Unions in Bulgaria, organizer of the XXI National Scientific and Practical Conference of the Federation of Scientific and Technical Unions in Bulgaria, unites 53 organizations with over 15,000 scientific specialists from all over the country.
Among them are inventors and specialists from the food industry, agriculture, technology, economics, etc. Members of the federation are 19 national scientific and technical unions /NTS/ and 34 territorial associations – TC of NTS.
FNTS is a member of the UN Global Compact and other prestigious international organizations.
