For another year, the Faculty of Public Health "Prof. Dr. Tsekomir Vodenicharov, MD" at the Medical University - Sofia invites students to celebrate World Bioethics Day. This year's celebration, organized jointly with the Bulgarian Section of the International Bioethics Network and the World Medical Association, will be held on October 18, 2024 under the motto "No discrimination and stigma".

Invitation to participate

We invite all university students to join the competition with:

• Essay
• Art poster
• Science Poster/Poster
• Photo
• Short video (up to 1 minute)

Important dates:

• Deadline for submitting materials: September 27, 2024.
• Poster Session: October 18, 2024
• Awarding: October 18, 2024

Evaluation and awards

A committee of teachers and members of the Bulgarian Bioethics Section will determine the winners in the various categories. Prizes include:

• Cash prizes
• Certificates for the winners
• Certificates of active participation for all participants

World Bioethics Day marks the adoption of the Universal Declaration on Bioethics and Human Rights by the General Assembly of UNESCO on 19 October 2005.
