In October 2015, Assistant Professor Petya Kantareva was enrolled as a doctoral student with a dissertation project on the topic "Children's Health in Primary Outpatient Medical Care", which she successfully defended on October 25, 2017.

Since 2017, after a competition, Assistant Professor Petya Simeonova Kantareva has been elected to the academic position of "Chief Assistant" in the scientific specialty "Social Medicine and Organization of Healthcare and Pharmacy" at the Faculty of Public Health "Prof. Dr. Tsekomir Vodenicharov, MD" at MU-Sofia.

Chief Assistant Professor Petya Simeonova Kantareva is the author and co-author of over 50 scientific and educational publications and a monograph on the topic "Problems of the Organization of Children's Healthcare".
