Asst. Prof. Alexandrina Gigova, PhD

Biography

Asst. Alexandrina Gigova, PhD is a Master of Law from the University of National and World Economy. She holds a Master's degree from Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" in the International Master's Program "Law of the European Union" and a certificate in "Law of the European Union" from the University of Nancy, France.

She holds a Master's degree in Public Health and Health Management from the Medical University - Sofia. In 2023, she successfully completed her PhD on "Еuropean organisations for healthcare supervision - a comparative analysis".

Asst. Gigova is an European industrial property representative in the field of trademarks and industrial design. From 2022 to January 2025, she was successively the representative of the NCCRP in the configuration medicinal products and then medical devices of the Health Technology Assessment Coordination Group (HTACG) under Regulation 2021/2282.

Publications and scientific interests

The research focuses on supervision in healthcare and its impact on the quality of healthcare. Delegate in international forums and conferences dedicated to the control in healthcare. Participation in national and international meetings in the field of health technology assessment and implementation of the HTA Regulation.
