Assistant Professor Alexandrina Gigova, MD

Biography

Assistant Professor Alexandrina Gigova, MD holds a Master of Laws from the University of National and World Economy. He has a Master's degree from Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" in the international master's program "European Union Law" and a certificate in "European Union Law" from the University of Nancy, France. 

She graduated with a Master's degree in Public Health and Health Management from the Medical University of Sofia. In 2023, she will defend her PhD on the topic "European Healthcare Oversight Organizations – A Comparative Analysis".

Asst. Gigova is European Industrial Property Representative in the field of trademarks and industrial design. From 2022 to January 2025, it was consistently prepresentative of the National Center for Drug Safety and Health Products in the configuration of medicinal products, and then medical devices of the Health Technology Assessment Coordination Group (HTACG) under Regulation 2021/2282. 

Publications and research interests

Scientific developments are focused on healthcare control and its impact on the quality of medical activity. Delegate in international forums and conferences on healthcare control. Participation in national and international meetings in the field of health technology assessment and the implementation of the HTA Regulation.
