Asst. Petar Petrov

Biography:

He was born on November 5, 1986 in Gabrovo, Bulgaria.

He graduated from Sofia Medical University, majoring in kinesitherapy, and from the Vasil Levski National Sports Academy, master's degree in kinesitherapy in neurology and psychiatry.

He has accumulated professional experience as a kinesitherapist at the "Serdika" Rehabilitation Hospital, Rego - specialized rehabilitation center, "Tsaritsa Joanna - ISUL" University Multidisciplinary Hospital for Active Treatment, Sofia and NEURO REHAB IZGREV, Sofia.

He has clinical and work experience in multidisciplinary hospitals for active treatment and specialized hospitals for rehabilitation. He completed many specialized courses in the field of physiotherapy and rehabilitation with world-renowned therapists and lecturers.
Petar Petrov's interests are in the field of neurorehabilitation of patients with acute and chronic neurological diseases. He focuses on the recovery of motor functions with patients who have survived a stroke, craniocerebral and spinal cord injuries, multiple sclerosis and other neurological diseases.

Publications and scientific interests:

He has publications in international medical publications on neurosonology and cerebral hemodynamics related to the influence of specialized kinesitherapy on dynamic balance on patients with ischemic stroke. He participates in numerous international congresses in the field of physiotherapy and neurology. He has many honors such as "Rehabilitator of the Year", participation awards, poster sessions, etc.

He underwent special training in Austria on 'Clinical pathways in stroke rehabilitation' - assessment, evidence and recommendations from practice, clinical issues and therapy.

He is a member of the International Stroke Recovery and Rehabilitation Alliance (ISRRA), Bulgarian Association of Physiotherapists (BAPT) and the Bulgarian Association of HealthCare Professionals (BAPZG).
