Sr. Lect. Christian Gerasimov

Biography:

Senior lecturer Kristiyan Gerasimov acquired a Bachelor's degree in 2013 with the professional qualification "Physical Education Teacher" and "Swimming Coach" in the specialty "Sports" at the National Sports Academy "Vasil Levski" - Sofia. In 2015, he acquired a Master's degree in "National and Regional Security" and specialization "Protection of Classified Information" at the National Military University "Vasil Levski" - Veliko Tarnovo. In 2017, he obtained the educational and qualification degree "Master" in the specialty "Public Health and Health Management" at the Faculty of Public Health at MU-Sofia. In 2022, he acquired the educational and qualification degree "Master" in the specialty "Pedagogy of Physical Education. Sports Pedagogy" at the University of Veliko Tarnovo "St. Cyril and Methodius".

In 2022, he acquired a Certificate of Recognized Specialty "Legal Regulation in Healthcare (for Masters Working in the Healthcare System)". Since 2017, he has been a lecturer in Sports at the Department of Kinesitherapy at the Faculty of Public Health at MU-Sofia, and since 2022, he has been a senior lecturer in Sports at the same department. From 2018 until today he teaches "Sport" to the students of the Branch "Prof. dr. Ivan Mitev" - Vratsa.

Research activity:

Senior lecturer Kristian Gerasimov has participated three times in INGA on a number of topics related to the development of physical qualities in adolescent athletes. He participated in scientific sessions with developments on topics related to the professional personal characteristics of the Physical Education and Sports teacher and his role in the educational process. In 2016, he contributed two articles to the Collection of Scientific Articles, Methodology and Practice of Teaching in the 21st Century, "Paradigm" on the topic: Physical Activity in Middle-Aged and Elderly People. 

In the same year, he participated in the 7th International Scientific and Practical Conference in Russia, the city of Chita, on the topic: Social Integration of People with Disabilities. In 2017, in the city of Varna, he participated in a conference on the topic: Leading Values ​​of Healthcare in the National Health Strategy 2014 - 2020, organized by the Bulgarian Scientific Society of Public Health. In 2020-2022, he is taking part in the National Program "Young Scientists and Postdoctoral Fellows". In 2024, he participated in the Journal of Physical Education and Sport ® (JPES).

Courses and certificates:

Lifeguard certification for pools, open water areas and the sea. Certificate of completion of a diving course: "OPEN WATER DIVER(SSI)".

Completed qualification course for professional training under a program for acquiring professional training in part of a profession - Company Manager, specialty - Sports Management. Three-year experience in primary swimming instruction for children. Fitness trainer. Since 2015, I have been a member of the National Association for Health Policy and Management.
