Assoc. Prof. Tsvetelina Ivanova, MD, PhD

Biography

In 2000, she graduated from the National Academy of Dramatic Arts and Sciences "Krastyo Sarafov" with a degree in acting. In 2014, she graduated from the Master's Degree in "Public Health and Health Management" at the Faculty of Public Health at the Medical University - Sofia. After defending her dissertation in 2015, she obtained the educational and scientific degree "Doctor" in social medicine and organization of healthcare and pharmacy. In 2015, after a competition, she took up the position of University Assistant at the Department of "Health Policy and Management" at the Faculty of Public Health at the Medical University - Sofia. She has been working in the Department of "Medical Pedagogy" at the Faculty of Public Health at the Medical University - Sofia since 2016. 

In 2018, after winning a competition, she was appointed to the academic position of "Associate Professor" at the Faculty of Health Sciences of the Medical University of Sofia. In 2020, she defended her "Doctor of Psychological Sciences" at the South-West University "Neofit Rilski" in Blagoevgrad and obtained the degree of "Doctor of Sciences". She is the author of over 200 publications in national and foreign publications and 30 with an impact factor; she participates in poster and oral presentations, in national and international scientific conferences, seminars, lecture courses and trainings. Her scientific interests are in the field of health policy, health management, medical pedagogy, medical psychology, art therapy. She is actively engaged in scientific research, specializing in the areas of "Healthcare Economics" and "Management Psychology".

Publications and scientific interests:

He is actively engaged in scientific research. He has published 15 monographs: “Values in Society – Contemporary Understandings and Controversies”, “Motivation of Health Care Specialists”, “Psychological Aspects of Health Care Management”, “Role of Motivation for Effectiveness of Medical Specialist”, “Psychological Aspects of Health Care Management”, “Ethical and Psychological Aspects in the Professional Practice of Medical Specialists”, “Textbook on Disaster Medicine” and “Anxiety and Mental Resilience” and others, as well as over 200 scientific publications in the country and abroad.

Membership in organizations:

He is a member of the Union of Scientists in Bulgaria, the National Association for Health Policy and Management and the Art Therapy Society.
