 Biography

Simeon Slavchev was born in Sofia. He completed his secondary education in language school with English as the language of instruction. She has a bachelor's degree in Public Health and Health Management at the National Health Fund "Prof. Dr. Tsekomir Vodenicharov, MD", Master's Degree in Public Health and Health Management, second master's degree in Strategic pharmaceutical management at the same faculty.

After winning a competition in 2018, he was appointed as an assistant. in the Department of Preventive Medicine. In 2023, he acquired the academic position of Chief Assistant Professor in the same department, and subsequently transferred to the newly formed Department of Social and Preventive Medicine and Disaster Medicine at the National Institute of Public Health "Prof. Dr. Tsekomir Vodenicharov, MD". In 2021 he acquired the educational and scientific degree "Doctor" in doctoral program "Social Medicine and Organization of Health Care and pharmacy". There are two acquired specialties in the postgraduate education system: "Social Medicine and Health Management" and "Healthcare Economics". 

Leader and coordinator of WP5 of the European project INGENIUM for Medical University - Sofia. Researcher in scientific projects over four years, in the "National Program for Funding Young Scientists and Postdoctoral Fellows" (module "Young Scientist"), as well as in prestigious international projects at the European level (including INGENIUM).

Teaches students from bachelor's and master's programs in Majors: Public Health and Health Management, Physician Assistant, Healthcare Management, Nursing, etc.
