Asst. Prof. Polina Angelova, MD, PhD

Biography

Assistant Professor Polina Angelova, MD, graduated with a Master’s degree in Medicine from the Medical University of Sofia in 2019.

Since 2020, she has been an assistant professor in the Department of Social and Preventive Medicine and Disaster Medicine at the Faculty of Public Health “Prof. Tzecomir Vodenitcharov, MD, DSc” at MU-Sofia. She has acquired a specialty in Disaster Medicine since 2024.

Dr. Angelova is a PhD student in Disaster Medicine at the Department of Social and Preventive Medicine and Disaster Medicine. 

Publications and scientific interests

Dr. Angelova’s scientific interests are in the field of preventive medicine, disaster management and risk management. 

She has scientific publications in national and international scientific journals, and participates in scientific conferences in the field of disaster prevention and response and public health.

• Member of the Bulgarian Scientific Society for Public Health.
