Assoc. Prof. Desislava Todorova, MD, Phd

Biography

Desislava Todorova is a medical doctor, graduated from the Medical University - Sofia, where she began working at the Faculty of Public Health as an assistant, later as a chief assistant, and is currently an associate professor of Disaster Medicine at the Department of Social and Preventive Medicine and Disaster Medicine at the FPH “Prof. Tzecomir Vodenitcharov, MD, DSC”. 

D. Todorova has a specialty in "Disaster Medicine", as well as in "Social Medicine and Health Management" and has more than 20 years of experience as university lecturer in the field of disaster medicine, civil protection of the population and disaster management. 

Publications and scientific interests

D. Todorova, MD, PhD, Assoc. Professor is the author and co-author of books and teaching materials for students and specialists and has more than 80 publications in national and international scientific journals, as well as participation in scientific conferences in the field of disaster protection, preventive medicine, public health and health management.

Membership in organizations

Desislava Todorova is member of Bulgarian Society “Disaster Medicine”; National Association of Health Policy and Management; Bulgarian Union of Scientists and member of Bulgarian Scientific Association on Public Health.
