Chief Assistant Elina Petkova-Georgieva, MD

Biography

In 2011, he obtained the Master of Pharmacy degree at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Medical University of Sofia with an additional specialization in Industrial Pharmacy. In 2017, he obtained a specialty in Organization and Economics of Distribution and Pharmacy Practice, Medical University of Sofia. He defended his dissertation in 2018 on the topic Risk Assessment in the Use of Food Supplements Containing Undeclared Ingredients, Medical University of Plovdiv. In 2020, he completed a Master's degree in Public Health and Health Management, Medical University of Plovdiv. 

Since 2022, after a competition, she has been appointed as an "assistant" at the Faculty of Public Health "Prof. Dr. Tsekomir Vodenicharov, MD", MU-Sofia, Department of "Health Policy and Management", and in 2025 she has been appointed as a "chief assistant" in the Department of "Health Management and Health Economics". 

Publications and scientific interests:

Author and co-author of over 30 scientific publications in refereed and other scientific journals, textbooks, teaching aids and information brochures. Participant in 4 national projects. 

Membership in organizations:

He is a member of the Bulgarian Scientific Society of Pharmacy, the Bulgarian Scientific Society of Public Health, the Bulgarian Pharmaceutical Union and the Bulgarian Association for Drug Information (BALI).
