Prof. Dobriana Sidjimova, PhD

Biography:

Dobriana Sidjimova graduated Sofia University in 1998 with subject Russian Philology with a Master`s degree.

In 2001 she defended Master`s degree in Public Relations at the Sofia University. In 2003 she obtained Master`s degree in Health management at the Medical University of Sofia in the Faculty of Public Health.

In 2005 she defended a PhD thesis on “The Advertising Text and its Transformation in Foreign Culture”. 

Since 2008 Dobriana Sidjimova is an Associate Professor in Faculty of Public Health, Medical University, Sofia. In 2014 Dobriana Sidjimova obtained speciality Health Economics.

His professional path began in 2000 as a senior expert in the Press Center Department in the Public Relations Directorate of the National Health Insurance Fund. 

In 2006, she was appointed as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Public Health at the Medical University of Sofia. In 2008, she acquired the academic title of “associate professor”, and in 2016 – “professor”.

In the period 2007-2012 he was the responsible secretary and public relations officer of the journal "Health Policy and Management". Since 2016 she is a chief editor of Health Policy and Management Journal.

Since 2019 Dobriana Sidjimova has been a Head of the Department of Language Education, Medical Pedagogy and Sport in the Medical University of Sofia. 

She is one of the founders and a member of Board of Directors of Bulgarian Association of Drug Information.

On 15. 02. 2021, he obtained the scientific degree "Doctor" in the scientific specialty "Social Medicine and Organization of Healthcare and Pharmacy", as a doctoral student independently developing a dissertation at the Department of "Health Policy and Management", FOH "Prof. Dr. Tsekomir Vodenicharov, MD", MU-Sofia.

In 2022 she was awarded by the Student Council of MU-Sofia with the distinction "Favorite Professor of MU-Sofia" in the field of medical and social sciences. 

Since 2023 she is a Director of the Department of Language Education and Sport at Medical University of Sofia.

Dobriana Sidjimova is author of the books: "Advertising and public health" (2008); "PR in health care - luxury or necessity" (2019), "Personality. A team. Organization' (2020). She has over 150 scientific articles published in authoritative journals.
