Assoc. Prof. Dimitar Gugutkov, MD, PhD

Biography:

Assoc. Prof. Dimitar Gugutkov, MD graduated from the Medical University of Sofia in 1998, and in 2005 he specialized in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care. Since 2014 he has also been a Master of Public Health and Health Management. In 2017 he defended his dissertation on the topic "Socio-psychological and ethical dimensions of out-of-wedlock birth rates". In 2019 he won a competition to occupy the position of "chief assistant" at the Faculty of Public Health of the Medical University of Sofia. Since September 2021 he has held the academic position of "associate professor" at the Department of "Health Policy and Management".

His professional path as an anesthesiologist-resuscitator began in 1999 at the Vth Hospital in Sofia. From 2005 to 2015 he worked at the Hospital "Maichin Dom". Between 2007 and 2015 he was a lecturer at the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care at the Medical University of Sofia. From 2013 to 2015 he was a consultant in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care at PSAGBAL ''St. Sofia'' EAD. Since 2015 he has been the executive director of MHAT "Doverie" AD and MC "Doverie" AD.

He specialized at ''Ben Gurion'' University, Bersheva, Israel in 2006 and at ''Kinki'' University, Osaka, Japan in 2007. He is fluent in Russian and English

Assoc. Prof. Dimitar Gugutkov, MD has published a monograph on the topic "Modern Hospital Management in Response to New Realities" and has over 40 publications in Bulgarian and international scientific journals.
