Assoc. Neli Gradinarova, dm

Biography:

She was born on 28.06.1987 in Razgrad. She graduated from the specialized secondary school with foreign languages in Razgrad. 

Higher education - in 2012 she obtained a Master's degree in Law from the University of National and World Economy, Sofia. In the period May 2013 - June 2013 she attended the Academy of American and International Law in Dallas, Texas, USA, where she gained additional knowledge in the field of international law, international arbitration, international tax law, American legal system and jurisdiction. In 2014, she obtained a second Master's degree in European Union Law from the University of Sofia, Bulgaria. 

In 2016, she graduated from the Faculty of Public Health at MU-Sofia and obtained a Master's degree with the professional qualification "Health Manager". In June 2017, she successfully defended her dissertation on "A model for improving the activities of ethics committees in the healthcare system in Bulgaria". In 2022 she obtained a specialization in Legal regulation in health care.

Since October 2013, she has been a member of the academic staff of the Faculty of Public Health at the Medical University of Sofia, first appointed as an assistant professor, then progressing to a senior assistant professor and reaching the scientific degree of an associate professor. Since April 2015 she is a qualified mediator, registered in the Unified Register of Mediators in Bulgaria at the Ministry of Justice. Since April 2021 she has been a member of the Ethics Committee on Transplantation at the Council of Ministers in Bulgaria. Since July 2024 she is Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Medical University of Sofia.

She has been a guest lecturer at the University of Sofia, the Centre for Human Resources Development and Regional Initiatives of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, the Yordanka Filaretova Medical College and is one of the lecturers for the training of health mediators in the country.

Publications and scientific interests:

She has published one monograph and two textbooks. She has authored and co-authored over 90 scientific publications and has taught on six research fellowship projects and one international project.

She is a member of the National Association for Health Policy and Management, the International Forum of the UNESCO Chair in Bioethics, the Bulgarian Scientific Society of Public Health, the Union of Scientists in Bulgaria and the World Association of Medical Law.
