Biography

Доц. д-р Иво Анастасов Димитров придобива магистърска степен по Финанси (2003 г.) и Счетоводство и контрол (2002 г.) в Стопанска академия „Димитър Ценов“ – Свищов. През 2019 г. завършва магистратура по Здравен мениджмънт във Факултета по обществено здраве на Медицински университет – София.

In 2016, he defended his doctoral dissertation and obtained the educational and scientific degree "Doctor of Social Medicine" at the Medical University - Sofia with a specialization in the field of Law and Ethics in Medicine. In 2020, he was elected as an associate professor of health management at the University of Agricultural and Rural Development - Plovdiv, and in June 2024, he obtained the scientific degree "Doctor of Economic Sciences".

Since August 2020, he has been an Associate Professor of Health Management and Director of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the University of Agricultural and Rural Development - Plovdiv. Since February 2022, he has held the position of Rector of the International Higher School of Informatics and e-Leadership "Mahatma Gandhi" in the city of Plovdiv. At the same time, he is a Member of the Board of Directors of TECH Park Plovdiv, Manager of the Institute of Information and Innovative Technologies - Plovdiv and Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Valley for Deep Technological Innovations - Plovdiv. Since November 2023, he has been a member of the Board of Trustees of the University of Food Technologies, Plovdiv.

His professional experience includes positions as Director of Investor Relations at St. Caridad Hospital (since June 2020) and Advisor to the Committee for Combating Corruption, Conflict of Interest and Parliamentary Ethics in the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria (January 2018 - April 2021).

He speaks Russian, German and English.

He is the recipient of numerous awards and distinctions, including: Badge of Honor of the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria, Badge of Honor of the City of Plovdiv, Medal of Honor from the Minister of Internal Affairs, "Madarski Konnik" Award from the International Police Association, Badge of Honor from the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria, Badge of Honor from the Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Medal from the Minister of Defense, Certificate of Honor and Badge of Honor from the Faculty of Public Health of the Medical University of Sofia and others.
