Chief Asst. Prof. Atanas Sarandev, MD, PhD

Biography

Born on 10.03.1966 in the town of Sofia. Graduated from the 91st German Language High School, in 1993 graduated as a Master in Medicine at Medical University of Sofia. In 2008 he obtained the PhD in the specialty "Social Medicine and Organization of Health Care and Pharmacy" with topic of doctoral thesis "Ethics of drug policy for diabetic neuropathy". 

In 2012 he graduated as a Master in "Health Management" at the Faculty of Public Health, Medical University - Sofia.

He was a guest lecturer at the Faculty of Public Health in the course "Communication Skills and Conflict Management" in the period 2011-2016.

Since 2022 he has been an assistant professor, and since beginning of 2025 is a senior assistant professor at the Department of Bioethics of Faculty of Public Health at Medical University of Sofia.

Membership in organizations

He is a member of the Bulgarian Medical Association and Bulgarian Scientific Society of Public Health.
