Biography:

Simeon Slavchev was born in Sofia. He finished his secondary education in a language high school with English in 2009. In 2013 He obtained a bachelor's degree in Public Health and Health Management at the National Institute of Health "Prof. Dr. Tsekomir Vodenicharov, Ph.D.", after which he graduated in 2014. master's degree in Public Health and Health Management, and in 2017 master's degree in Strategic Management of Pharmaceutical Activities in the same faculty.

After graduating in 2009 worked successively as an intern in Hygia /distribution of medicinal products/ Sofia, junior sales manager at Stop Time EOOD, then worked as a sales representative at Targovska Liga AD - National Pharmacy Center, product consultant and marketing analyst at Cre-Alkaline Bulgaria EOOD .

After winning a competition in 2018. was appointed as an assistant in the Department of Preventive Medicine at the Faculty of Public Health "Prof. Dr. Tsekomir Vodenicharov, PhD". In 2021 obtained an educational and scientific degree "doctor" in the scientific specialty "Social medicine and organization of health care and pharmacy" based on a successfully defended dissertation dedicated to the informed choice of nutritional supplements as a problem of health literacy.

Conducts exercises for students from undergraduate programs in Public Health and Health Management, Physician Assistant, Nursing and Health Care Management in the disciplines of Geriatrics, Current Problems of Aging and Old Age, Health Promotion, Health Epidemiology and Healthy Nutrition and Dietetics.

Author of 40 publications in refereed publications, publications with an impact factor, reports in Bulgarian and international forums and conferences, in the field of functional foods and nutritional supplements, healthy nutrition, health promotion and disease prevention. Member of the National Association for Health Policy and Management, member of the Bulgarian Scientific Society for Public Health, International Forum of Teachers (IFT) UNESCO Chair of Bioethics. Proficient in English - Certificate in advanced English - certificate from Cambridge level C1/C2.
