Biography:

Nikola Georgiev was born in the city of Sofia in 1986. He graduated from the National Commercial and Banking High School in 2005. In the period from 2005 to 2011, he obtained the educational and qualification degrees "Bachelor" and "Master" in the specialty "Public Health and Health management" at the Faculty of Public Health at the Medical University - Sofia. From 2005 to 2009, he was a member of the Student Council of the Medical University - Sofia. Participated in the implementation of the Project "Study of the specific professional difficulties and educational needs of health professionals in providing medical and social assistance for the elderly and the elderly", financed by the Sofia University - Medical Science Council and won the Grand Prize in 2007 with a high evaluation. His professional development in the field of public health is related to his participation in organizing activities at the MBAL, Health Insurance Fund "Mediko-21" JSC, and the Ministry of Health in the following positions: Assistant to a cardiologist at the MBAL "Saint Sofia" ; Technical associate at ZOF Medico-21 JSC; Program Assistant for Programs financed by the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria at the Ministry of Health. In 2015, after successfully passing a competition, he held the academic position of "Assistant" in the "Medical Pedagogy" Department of the Faculty of Public Health at the Medical University - Sofia. In 2017, he obtained a doctorate in the scientific specialty "Social medicine and organization of health care and pharmacy" and after a competition held the academic position of "Chief assistant". He participates in the teaching and research activities of the department.

Publications and scientific interests:

He is the author and co-author of 37 publications in national and foreign scientific publications in the field of health management and public health. Main areas of his scientific interests are: health management, psychology of communication, psychology of management, health education, health promotion.

Bulgarian Scientific Society for Public Health, Scientific Society for Medical Education and Interdisciplinary Civil Academy.
