Assoc. Prof. Pepa Rashkova Bikova, PhD

Biography:

She is an experienced professional with a diverse academic and career background, known for her outstanding achievements in nursing education. Her education began with a diploma for "pediatric nurse" from the Center for Child Nursing. Later she continued her studies at the Medical University of Sofia, where she completed a Bachelor's degree in Health Care Management and a Master's degree in Health Management. She also graduated with a Master's degree in Pedagogy from Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski". Her education includes the defense of her doctoral dissertation in 2014 in the field of social medicine at the Faculty of Public Health of the Medical University – Sofia, as well as two specialties: "Medical Pedagogy" (2012) and "Public Health" (2024) at the Faculty of Public Health of the Medical University – Sofia.

In 2007 she started working at MU-Sofia as a lecturer. In 2014 she won a competition for Associate Professor at the Department of Health Care at the Faculty of Public Health at the Medical University – Sofia. Prior to that, she had over 20 years of experience in teaching nurses at the Yordanka Filaretova Medical College. She participates in six scientific projects funded by the Science Council of MU - Sofia, two of which she is a leading researcher.

Publications and scientific interests:

She is the author and co-author of over 70 scientific publications, four textbooks and one monograph. She actively participates in scientific forums and seminars, presenting reports and posters. She teaches undergraduate students in the specialties "Nurse", "Midwife" and "Medical Assistant". Its thematic scope includes "General and Special Nursing Care", "Clinical Practice" and "Pre-Graduate Internship" in the specialty "Nursing Care".

She is a member of the Bulgarian Association of Health Care Professionals (BAPZG), the Bulgarian Scientific Society of Public Health (BNDOZ); Scientific Society of Medical Education (BDNO); The Interdisciplinary Civic Academy (INGA).
