Asst. Prof. Dimitrina Ivanova Milikina, PhD

Biography:

Born in Sofia. Graduated from the Medical Institute at the Medical University of Sofia with a degree in Nursing. Obtained a higher education - Bachelor's degree at the University of Sofia "St. Cyril and Methodius" - major in Social Activities. Obtained a Bachelor's degree and a professional qualification as a "Healthcare Manager and Lecturer in a Medical College". Graduated with a Master's degree and a professional qualification as a "Healthcare Management". Obtained a Master's degree, major in Speech Therapy, at the Sofia University of Sofia "St. Kliment Ohridski". Obtained a major in Public Health. Defended a Doctorate in Health Care in the Health Care System, on the topic of "Quality Management of Health Care in Intensive Care Units".

Since 1995, she has been working at the University Hospital "Tsaritsa Ioanna-ISUL" - Emergency Surgery Clinic. Since 1999, she has been working in the Intensive Care Unit at the KAIL at the UMHAL "Tsaritsa Ioanna-ISUL". From 2009 to 2017, she was a senior nurse in the Intensive Care Unit at the KAIL at the UMHAL "Tsaritsa Ioanna-ISUL". In 2017, she started working as a lecturer at the Faculty of Public Health "Prof. Dr. Tsekomir Vodenicharov, MD", Department of Health Care. From 2020 to the present, she holds the position of Assistant.

Publications and scientific interests:

Professional and scientific interests focused on the field of student training and health care in anesthesiology and intensive therapy. She participates in research projects, and is an active participant in the National Program "Young Scientists and Postdoctoral Fellows".

Assoc. Prof. D. Milikina has participated in conferences and scientific forums and has published 10 scientific articles in Bulgarian and international publications. Participated in over 90 postgraduate courses. Participates in the National Program "Young Scientists and Postdoctoral Fellows".

Membership in organizations:

Member of the Scientific Society for Medical Education, the Bulgarian Scientific Society for Public Health and the Bulgarian Association of Healthcare Professionals. Vice-Chairman of the Bulgarian Association of Healthcare Professionals, Sofia Regional Office.
