1. For majors: "Nurse" and "Midwife", "Bachelor", regular
form of training: Oral exam - interview on the topic: "Health awareness and
motivation for choosing the profession of nurse/midwife' of 12/09/2024 from 09:00 a.m.

2. For majors: "Physician Assistant" and "Physical Therapy", "Bachelor":
Written Exam - Biology Test of 12/09/2024 from 09:00

3. For specialty "Public Health and Health Management", "Bachelor",
full-time and part-time form of education: Oral exam - interview on the topic: "The public
health in the modern world' of 12/09/2024 from 09:00

4. For majors: "Public Health and Health Management" and "Strategic
management of pharmaceutical activity", "master"
: Oral exam - interview of
topic: "Problems and priorities of public health in the conditions of health reform".
For the specialty "Occupational medicine and work ability", "master": Oral exam -
interview on the topic: "Issues and priorities for ensuring safe and healthy
working conditions'. The exams for the above specialties are held according to the schedule of
13/09/2024 from 10:00 a.m.

5. For specialty "Aesthetic Care", "Master" : Oral exam - interview of
topic: "Problems and prospects for cosmetic practice" on 13/09/2024 from 09:00 a.m.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR APPLICATION 

Candidates-students submit the following documents online or on-site - in person or through other persons:

  1. Completed Application and Declaration. The documents are according to a model valid only for the Health and Welfare Department at MU-Sofia. When submitting documents on the spot – the application and the declaration are filled out on the spot. 

Online: Completed and scanned Application and Declaration for Change of Names (if applicable). 

The documents are downloaded from the attachments at the end of the instructions. 

  1. Original and photocopy of the diploma,  depending on the application requirements for the relevant major. When documents are submitted on-site, an original of the diploma and a photocopy of it are presented, with the photocopy remaining with the recipient of the documents:
  • For specialties: "Nurse", "Midwife" and "Medical assistant" - "bachelor": original diploma and photocopy of completed secondary education;
  • For the specialty "Clinical health care"-"master"*: original diploma and a photocopy of completed secondary education or a "specialist" from a medical college with a professional qualification "Nurse";
  • For the specialty "Kinesitherapy" of the OCS "master" original diploma and a photocopy of a completed higher education degree of "bachelor" in "Kinesitherapy". (There is no fee when applying for this specialty. Ranking is based on documents.)

Online: Scanned original diploma, depending on the application requirements for the relevant specialty (described in item 2).

  1. Payment order for paid fee. The fee for taking the exam is BGN 70.00, it is transferred by bank transfer to the account of the Faculty of Public Health and is presented on the day of submitting the documents (on site).

In the payment order from the bank mandatory the three names on the candidate student's identity card are written.

Deposited fees for candidate student exams are not refundable! 

  1. From paying the exam fee under Art. 95 par. 7, items 1, 2, 3 and 4 of the Civil Code are exempted:
    • persons who are round orphans;
    • persons with permanent disabilities and reduced working capacity of 70 and over 70 percent;
    • war disabled and war injured;
    • persons who, at the time of reaching the age of majority, have a measure of protection taken in accordance with the Child Protection Act - placement in a foster family, a residential-type social service or a specialized institution; 
  1. Under reduced conditions and according to the order set by the rules for the activities of the higher education institution, they are accepted applicants under Art. 68, para. 3 of the Higher Education Institution, who successfully participated in the competitive exams:
    • ranked with the same score;
    • (amended - SG No. 17 of 2018) persons with permanent disabilities and reduced working capacity of 70 and over 70 percent;
    • (supplemented - SG No. 54 of 2014, in force from 01.07.2014) military disabled and war casualties;
    • round orphans;
    • mothers with three or more children;
    • twins, when they applied simultaneously to the same professional field and university, and one of them was accepted.

When ranking by majors:

  • Candidate-students from the category "persons with permanent disabilities and reduced working capacity 70 and over 70 percent" and "mothers with three or more children" compete with each other for 6 % of the places for regular admission.
  • Prospective twin students compete for 2% from regular admission places if they have indicated their desire at application.

When submitting documents for candidate students under Art. 68, para. 3 of the HVO, the originals of the necessary documents listed below are brought to the place, and when submitting online - they are sent scanned:

  • For round orphans – death certificate, certificate of heirs and a photocopy thereof;
  • For persons with permanent disabilities and reduced working capacity of 70 and over 70 percent - TELK's decision and a photocopy of it;
  • Military disabled and war injured - relevant certifying document;
  • For mothers with three or more children birth certificates of the children and photocopies thereof;
  • For twins birth certificates and photocopies thereof.

From 26.07.2021 until 30.07.2021 (incl.) newly admitted students in all majors will submit their enrollment documents in the same building where application documents were accepted, located in the courtyard of the "Tsarica Joanna-ISUL" UMBAL.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR ENROLLMENT:

  1. When enrolling for OCS "Bachelor" specialties -  every newly admitted student wears the original one you are diploma and a photocopy of it for  secondary education.
  2. When enrolling for Master's degree courses  – every newly admitted student carries the original diploma and a photocopy of it for  secondary education , as well as original and photocopy of your diploma for previous degree of higher education.

The photocopy  of the diplomas  it is not necessary  to be notarized. After verification, the original diplomas are returned.

  1. Identity card.
  2. Student booklet (purchased in advance from a university bookstore).
  3. It is obtained and filled in personally by the student on the spot 1 pc. "Nomenclature".
  4. It is obtained and filled in personally by the student on the spot 1 pc. declaration, that the student is not studying at another state university to acquire the same or a lower OKS, according to the requirements of art. 91, para. 7, item 2 of the Law on Higher Education.
  5. Pictures ID card size – 4 pieces.
  6. Medical testimony from the general practitioner.

 No is required medical document from a psychiatric clinic.

  2. Payable order for first semester fee paid The annual tuition fees are published on the website of the FOZ, MU-Sofia. Upon registration, the fee for the first semester must be paid by bank transfer to the account of the Faculty of Public Health "Prof. Dr. Tsekomir Vodenicharov, dmn".

The admission of students to the Faculty of Public Health at the Medical University-Sofia is carried out on the basis of the Ministry of Education and Science's "Regulation on the State Requirements for the Admission of Students to the Higher Schools of the Republic of Bulgaria".

Students who have fulfilled their obligations according to the curriculum receive a diploma for completed higher education at the educational qualification level:

  • "Bachelor" - regular form of education in the specialties: "Nurse", "Midwife", "Physician's Assistant" and "Physical Therapy";
  • "Bachelor" - full-time and part-time form of education in the specialties: "Health Care Management" and "Public Health and Health Management".
  • "Master" - part-time form of study in the majors: "Public Health and Health Management", Strategic Management of Pharmaceutical Activity, "Clinical Trial Management", "Occupational Medicine and Workability" and "Health Care Management";
  • "Master" - regular form of training in a specialty "Kinesitherapy";
  • "Master"* (on the basis of Art. 42, para. 1, item 1 letter «a» of the Higher Education Act and Decisions of the AC of MU-Sofia dated 01.07.2014 and 11.02.2016)- regular form of education in the specialties: Clinical Health Care', 'Medical Rehabilitation and Balneology', 'Medical Cosmetics' and 'Healthy and Dietary Nutrition';
  • "Master" - distance learning in the specialties: "Public health and health management", "Strategic management of pharmaceutical activity" and "Occupational medicine and work capacity".
