In the conditions of the coronavirus pandemic, medical workers are the most vulnerable. To help them, third and fourth year students from the Faculty of Public Health of the Medical University of Sofia have expressed their willingness to volunteer in the three hospitals that have become centers for fighting the virus. At this point, 13 students have joined, and the enthusiasm of young people is growing, announced the dean of the faculty, Prof. Magdalena Alexandrova.

I admire this act of empathy and dedication to the profession and the patients, commented the rector of MU-Sofia, Prof. Viktor Zlatkov.

We would like to recall the decision of the Rector's and Dean's Council from the beginning of this week regarding the time during which all volunteers (students, postgraduates and doctoral students) participating in the campaign to contain and care for patients suspected of or carrying Covid-2019 will be considered as study employment.
