The Rector of the Medical University of Sofia today issued an order related to the epidemiological situation in the country and in accordance with the Decisions of a conference meeting of the extended Rector's and Dean's Council.

The order reads:

1. All students who are absent due to illness and clinical symptoms related to the influenza virus must prove their absence with relevant documents from a hospital or a personal physician.
2. Students who have traveled and come from risk areas, and are directed by state or other institutions for a 14-day quarantine, after receiving a referral from the health authorities or a general practitioner, are obliged to call the relevant Academic Departments, the Heads of Departments or the person responsible for implementing anti-epidemiological measures in the Faculty, College, Branch and Department, and an individual program for conducting classes will be developed for the period of their absence, which will serve as the certification of the semester.
