SPECIALTY "HEALTH CARE MANAGEMENT" - MASTER'S DEGREE

The specialty "Health Care Management" of the OCS "master" offers training to persons who have:

• completed higher education "bachelor" in the specialties "Health care management", "Midwife" or "Nurse".
• completed higher education "professional bachelor in..." and one from the majors: "social activities", "social pedagogy", "social management" or "health management".

The specialty has an interdisciplinary nature and provides an opportunity for students to acquire managerial competence, organizational culture and pedagogical skills in the provision of effective health care in the conditions of a changing social, economic and health environment. They acquire general and specialized training in health policy, management sciences, behavioral, communication and information systems.

The training takes place in absentee form with duration 3 semesters.

Graduates can perform organizational, communicative, control and research functions.

You have acquired the educational and qualification degree "master" with the professional qualification "health care manager and teacher in practice" in all management sectors and levels of the health care system such as:

– health care experts in the management and administrative structures of health care and the health insurance system, in medical facilities for inpatient and outpatient care, as well as in governmental and non-governmental organizations at the national and international level;

• health care experts in other departments and institutions related to public health (Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Ministry of Education and Science, media, etc.);
• professors and associates in medical schools and research organizations in health care.

COMPETITIVE EXAMINATION, FORMATION OF THE FINAL SCORE AND CLASSIFICATION

Candidate students take an oral exam in the form of an interview on the topic: "Current problems of the reform in the Bulgarian health care" in front of an examination committee of three qualified teachers.

The oral exam will be held on  13.07.2020 and 14.07.2020, from 2:00 p.m..

The competitive score is formed as the sum of the grade of the oral exam and the average success of the diploma for a completed previous degree of higher education "bachelor", not lower than "good". Ranking is done in descending order of competition ball. Maximum score 12.
